Bindloss
Bindloss /ˈbaɪndloʊs/[2] is a hamlet in southern Alberta, Canada within Special Area No.[note 1][4][5] It is located approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) west of Highway 41 and 97 kilometres (60 mi) north of Medicine Hat.It is named after English author Harold Edward Bindloss, who wrote a number of Western novels.[7] On 11 September 2017, an attempt to dispose of unexploded ordnance at Canadian Forces Base Suffield led to a fire that burned 220 square kilometres on the base plus another 58 square kilometres beyond.This Southern Alberta location article is a stub.
