European Endowment for Democracy

The European Endowment for Democracy is a European non-governmental organisation with the stated purpose of promoting democracy, particularly in the European Neighbourhood, Turkey and the Western Balkans.[1][2] It was established in 2013 following a proposal by the Polish Presidency of the European Council,[3][4][5] and receives funding from the European Commission and twenty-three European countries.[6] In March 2020, the foundation was labeled as an 'undesirable organization' in Russia.This article about an organization in Europe is a stub.You can help Wikipedia by expanding it.This article about an international organization is a stub.
