Nate Barragar
Nathan Robert Barragar (June 3, 1907 – August 10, 1985) was an American collegiate and professional football player.[citation needed] Barragar was an All-American at USC (1929), where he played as an offensive lineman.[2] Barragar served in the United States Army during World War II, attaining the rank of Sergeant.His credits as a motion picture and television director, production manager, and producer include Gunga Din, Hondo, and Sands of Iwo Jima, and on such television series as The Gene Autry Show, The Roy Rogers Show, Adventures of Superman, Have Gun – Will Travel, Gunsmoke, and Julia.[1] On 29 November 1935, Barragar married Seattle socialite Jeanette Edris, who left him less than three months later.
