Pittsville, Wisconsin

Pittsville is a city in Wood County, Wisconsin, United States.Pittsville was platted in 1883, and named after Oliver W. Pitts, the proprietor of a local sawmill.[7] Governor Walter J. Kohler, Jr. frequently visited the Pittsville area during the 1950s.On June 27, 1952, he made an Official Proclamation declaring Pittsville the exact center of the State.The racial makeup of the city was 97.9% White, 0.3% Native American, 0.8% Asian, and 0.9% from two or more races.
