Narendra Singh Tomar
Narendra Singh Tomar (born 12 June 1957; Hindi pronunciation: [n̪əɾeːn̪d̪ɾə sɪŋgʱ t̪oːməɾ]) is an Indian politician and a member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly.On 5 July 2016, during the second cabinet reshuffle of the Narendra Modi ministry, Birender Singh replaced him as the Steel Minister and he replaced Birender Singh as the Minister of Panchayati Raj, Rural Development and Drinking Water and Sanitation.[8] On 18 September 2020, Tomar was assigned the additional charge of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries after Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigned from the post.[9] In the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, Tomar contesting for Dimani defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Balveer Singh Dandotiya by a margin of 24,000.[10] Arjun Munda succeeded Tomar as the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in December 2023.
