Jomo Campbell

Jomo Chaka Campbell is a Bahamian Progressive Liberal Party politician who serves as Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources.[1] Campbell was elected to Parliament in 2021, defeating FNM candidate, engineer Courtney Coulibaly, flipping the seat of Centreville.He served under Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, Ryan Pinder.[5] As minister, Campbell has advocated for sustainable agriculture practices and food security, marine conservation, fisheries management, and the development of policies and programs to drive economic growth and job creation.[6] As minister, he helped address the impact of Hurricane Dorian, and he has represented the Bahamas at regional and international forums, including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
