Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Class Struggle
The strength of the party is mainly concentrated to Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal.In the elections 2004 CPI (ML) launched five candidates to the Lok Sabha and one to the Andhra Pradesh assembly.Results from the Lok Sabha elections: Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2004 the party and the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Red Flag had taken the initiative to form a united front of communist group.Just ahead of the 2006 West Bengal legislative election two regional party leaders, Somnath Chatterjee (not to be confused with the Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee) from Ukhra and Pradip Banerjee from Kolkata, broke away from the party.2010 March 23 Kanu Sanyal expired and Viswam was elected as General Secretary of CPI (ML).
