[1] The restaurant was known for serving traditional Thai food in a relaxed beachside spot off the Pacific Coast Highway.[2] Sawai Theprian and her husband Nikorn Sriwichailumpan bought Cholada Thai in 1999.It was a family owned business, with Theprian and Sriwichailumpan's daughters working at the restaurant.[3] The restaurant was located off of the Pacific Coast Highway and next to the Topanga Ranch Hotel.[4] In 2003, Cholada Thai's property was incorporated into Topanga State Park.
