Winkel is a municipality in the district of Bülach in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland.Of the rest of the land, 21.1% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (6.4%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains).Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks German (91.2%), with French being second most common ( 1.4%) and English being third ( 1.4%).In the 2007 election the most popular party was the SVP which received 42.6% of the vote.In Winkel about 86.8% of the population (between age 25–64) have completed either non-mandatory upper secondary education or additional higher education (either university or a Fachhochschule).
