Tetraclita rubescens, commonly known as the pink volcano barnacle, is a species of sessile barnacle in the family Tetraclitidae.[1][2][3] Pink volcano barnacles are a largeish species, with a ruddy colouration and shell comprising four plates.The barnacles produce several hundred nauplii per brood, which they have two or three of each mating season, when they reproduce by copulation.The barnacles are found on the southwestern Pacific coast of North America.This Thecostraca related article is a stub.
