[2][3] The district shares boundaries with Sangareddy, Mahabubnagar, Narayanpet, and Ranga Reddy districts and the state boundary of Karnataka.The district is spread over an area of 3,386.00 square kilometres (1,307.34 sq mi).As of 2011[update] Census of India, the district has a population of 927,140.Vikarabad had a sex ratio of 1001 females per 1000 males and a literacy rate of 57.91%.[5] The district will have two revenue divisions of Tandur and Vikarabad.
