Thiruvananthapuram North–Nilambur Road Rajya Rani Express
[2] This train was inaugurated on 11 November 2011, initially originating from Thiruvananthapuram Central to reach its destination.After inauguration, there were demands from commuters to make Rajya Rani Express an independent train.[3] The 16349 / 50 Rajya Rani Express has a total of 13 coaches which includes one AC 2 Tier, one AC 3 Tier, eight Sleeper class, two general unreserved & two SLR (seating with luggage rake) coaches.As it is customary with most train services in India, coach composition may be amended at the discretion of Indian Railways depending on demand.The train is hauled by an Erode or Arakkonam-based WAP-4 electric locomotive between Thiruvananthapuram North and Shoranur Junction, and a Golden Rock-based WDP-4D diesel locomotive between Shoranur Junction and Nilambur Road.
