The Profane Exhibit

The Profane Exhibit is a 2013 internationally co-produced anthology horror film written and directed by ten renowned genre filmmakers from across the globe:[2][3] Nacho Vigalondo, Anthony DiBlasi, Ryan Nicholson, Michael Todd Schneider, Sergio Stivaletti, Marian Dora, Yoshihiro Nishimura, Uwe Boll, Ruggero Deodato and Jeremy Kasten.The project began to take shape in 2011, when producer Amanda L. Manuel approached director Michael Todd Schneider to direct her first short film.Announced segments that did not make the final cut included: Coltan by Richard Stanley;[11] Tochka by Andrey Iskanov [ru];[12] and Viral by José Mojica Marins.[15] The article stated, "With no jokey cameos, self-referential post modernism or internalised jibing taking place, it appears that a sense of thoughtful insight and craftsmanship has made a return to the genre."[citation needed] The website Zombie Hamster ran an exclusive "first look" review of the film on January 27, 2014,[16] in which it was described as "De Sade for the digital age."
