Richard Barber (priest)
[1] A Fellow of All Souls' College, Oxford,[2] he was appointed Vicar choral of Chichester Cathedral in 1541; Vicar of the College of Windsor in 1543, a Canon of Lincoln Cathedral in 1552; Rector of Wappenham in 1553; Archdeacon of Bedford in 1559;[3] Archdeacon of Leicester[4] in 1560.[6] He was Warden of All Souls between April 1565 and October 1571 and acted as one of Bishop of Lincoln's commissioners for the visitation of Balliol College, Oxford in the spring of 1566.[2] In 1574 he was appointed Treasurer and Canon of Lichfield Cathedral by James Weston (MP).This biography article of an English religious figure is a stub.You can help Wikipedia by expanding it.This article relating to the University of Oxford is a stub.
