Palmophyllophyceae

The Palmophyllophyceae are a proposed basal green plant clade consisting of the Palmophyllales and Prasinococcales.[1] It belongs to Prasinodermophyta, a group that – according to Li et al.'s phylogenetic analyses – is basal to the rest of the Viridiplantae (that is, the group of Streptophyta and Chlorophyta).[2] Prasinodermophyceae Palmophyllales Prasinococcales Ulvophyceae Chlorophyceae Trebouxiophyceae Chlorodendrophyceae Pedinophyceae Prasinophytes Clade VIIA Prasinophytes Clade VIIC Pycnococcaceae Nephroselmidophyceae Mamiellophyceae Pyramimonadales Mesostigmatophyceae Chlorokybophyceae Klebsormidiophyceae Charophyceae Zygnematophyceae Embryophytes (land plants) Coleochaetophyceae
