Misamis Occidental II Electric Cooperative
[1] MOELCI-II provides essential electricity services to residential, commercial and industrial customers within its franchise area.[2] The electrification of the Philippines was a key national development goal in the mid-20th century, aimed at improving living standards, boosting economic growth and connecting rural communities.[3] Prior to this initiative, many areas, particularly in rural provinces like Misamis Occidental, lacked access to reliable electricity.MOELCI-II was officially organized, registered, incorporated and began operations on June 2, 1976, becoming the 77th electric cooperative to be established in the Philippines.[2] This division aimed to provide more efficient and localized electricity distribution to the residents of Misamis Occidental.
