Milton J. Daniels

Milton John Daniels (April 18, 1838 – December 1, 1914) was an American Civil War veteran and politician who served one term as a U.S. Representative from California from 1903 to 1905.Born in Cobleskill, New York, Daniels attended the public schools.His family moved to Bradford County, Pennsylvania, and he worked with his father in the lumber business.In March 1865 he was commissioned captain and commissary of subsistence by President Abraham Lincoln.This article incorporates public domain material from the Biographical Directory of the United States Congress
