The Gleaner
The Gleaner is an English-language, morning daily newspaper founded by two brothers, Jacob and Joshua de Cordova on 13 September 1834 in Kingston, Jamaica.[1] It is the oldest continuously published newspaper in the Western Hemisphere.[6][5] The morning broadsheet newspaper is presently published six days each week in Kingston.The Sunday edition was first published in 1939, and it reaches twice as many readers as the daily paper.The paper offers coverage of important issues and events in both the Caribbean and the United Kingdom.
