Its repertoire is based on popular songs performed mainly in Russian and English,[3] less often in Belarusian, Armenian, Italian and French.[4] Her best-known songs include Etoprost lubov, Posledniye derevni, Vechnaya vesna, Tvoya glazur, Khoroshaya plodovitost[3] (with A. Patlis),[7] Diyevuszka ukhodit iz doma, and Serdtse Botsia.[3] She represented Belarus in the International Competition of Young Stage Song Performers "Slavic Bazaar" (Vitebsk, 1996),[5] participated in the festivals "Złoty Szlagier" (Mohilev, 1997, 1998), "Discovery 1998"[3] (Varna, Bulgaria[7]).[3] According to Lilia Kamlyuk from the magazine "Narodnaya Hazieta", Abalyan has developed her own unique style in the way she performs songs, dresses and behaves with the audience.[5] Abalyan's first husband was Belarusian music producer Andrei Kalina,[8] and in 1999, her first daughter Ksenia was born.
