Georgy Mondzolevski
Georgy Grigorevich Mondzolevski (Russian: Георгий Григорьевич Мондзолевский; 26 January 1934 – 28 April 2024) was a volleyball player who competed for the Soviet Union in the 1964 Summer Olympics and in the 1968 Summer Olympics.[1] Mondzolevski won the Soviet championship with Burevestnik Odessa in 1956 and with CSKA Moskva (1958, 1960–1963, 1965, and 1966).Also with CSKA Moskva, he twice won the European Champions’ League title (1960 and 1962).[3][2] Dr. George Eisen of Nazareth College included Mondzolevski on his list of Jewish Olympic medalists.[4] After his volleyball career, Mondzolevski taught as a professor at the Moscow State Mining University.
