Fred Graham (politician)
Frederick Dickson Graham (13 May 1899 – 11 June 1996) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly.He attended primary school in Croydon and by 1916 he was working as an engine driver and cleaner for Queensland Railways.Graham died in Brisbane in June 1996 and was cremated at the Mt Thompson Crematorium.[3] When the Premier of Queensland, William Forgan Smith, retired from politics in December 1942,[4] Graham, a fellow Labor Party member, won the resultant by-election.[5] He went on to represent the electorate for 26 years before retiring from politics at the 1969 Queensland state election.
