Farringdon Halt railway station
Farringdon Halt was an intermediate railway station on the Meon Valley line, which ran from Alton to Fareham in Hampshire, England, during the 20th century.The station opened on 1 May 1931 as Farringdon Halt; the Meon Valley Railway was a particularly difficult line to construct.[1] A goods yard for loading agricultural produce was already sited there and a short wooden platform of one coach-length was built to serve the village in 1930.[2] The halt was known briefly as Faringdon Platform for a short period in the 1930s, before reverting to its original name.This article on a railway station in South East England is a stub.
