Edward Swayne

Edward Bowdich Swayne (4 December 1857 – 15 June 1946) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly.He died in Brisbane in June 1946 and was cremated at the Mount Thompson Crematorium.He started in politics as a councilor in the Pioneer Shire Council.[1] He won the seat of Mackay in the Queensland Legislative Assembly, representing the electorate with Walter Paget at the 1907 Queensland state election.[1] A number of street names in the Brisbane suburb of Carina Heights are identical to the surnames of former Members of the Queensland Legislative Assembly.
