David Lucas (politician)

David Eugene Lucas Sr. (born April 23, 1950) is an American politician.He is a member of the Georgia State Senate from the 26th District, serving since 2012.[1] Prior to being a Senator, he served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 1974 to 2011.Lucas is also a founding member of 100 Black Men of America.[2] He is the father of gridiron football player Al Lucas who died during a game while playing for the Los Angeles Avengers.
