David Laurence MacLaren

David Laurence MacLaren PC (October 27, 1893 – September 7, 1960) was a Canadian politician and the 20th Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick.Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, he was appointed Minister of National Revenue in April 1945[1] in the Liberal cabinet of Mackenzie King.He was elected mayor of Saint John again in 1958, and held the position until his death.He fought at the Battle of Vimy Ridge, where he took a gunshot wound which necessitated the removal of his right leg above the knee.[3] Synopsis of federal political experience from the Library of Parliament This article about a New Brunswick politician is a stub.
