Bonita is a village in Morehouse Parish, Louisiana, United States.Not much is known on the early history of Bonita, but it is believed that the exstention of the Missouri Pacific Railroad through Morehouse Parish in the 1890s is what triggered the establishment of the town.According to the United States Census Bureau, Bonita has a total area of 1.35 square miles (3.50 km2), all of it recorded as land.The racial makeup of the village was 42.69% White, 55.52% African American, 0.30% Asian, 1.49% from other races.25.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
