[4] Later in August 2009, Evans made his first first-class appearance for Scotland against Ireland in the 2009-10 ICC Intercontinental Cup.[2] In July 2019, he was selected to play for the Glasgow Giants in the inaugural edition of the Euro T20 Slam cricket tournament.[9] In December 2017, he finished as the joint-leading wicket-taker in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship, with 24 wickets in 12 matches.[10] In September 2019, he was named in Scotland's squad for the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament in the United Arab Emirates.[12] In September 2021, Evans was named in Scotland's provisional squad for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
