2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season
The regular season ended on March 17, 2024, with the 2024 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament beginning on March 20 and ended with the championship game at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 7.Each of the 32 Division I athletic conferences ends its regular season with a single-elimination tournament.Per the NCAA, "Upsets are defined as when the winner of the game was seeded two or more places lower than the team it defeated."[94] The 2023–24 season was the first for the WBIT, created by the NCAA as a direct parallel to the men's National Invitation Tournament.The NCAA does not recognize The Sporting News as an All-America selector in women's basketball.
