2016 Russian Figure Skating Championships
In the 2015–16 season, Russian skaters competed in domestic qualifying events and national championships for various age levels.[1] Competitors qualified through international success or by competing in the Russian Cup series' senior-level events.[2] Ksenia Stolbova / Fedor Klimov (due to Klimov's back pain) and Ksenia Monko / Kirill Khaliavin (due to Monko's injury sustained at the 2015 Rostelecom Cup) withdrew before the start of the competition.[4] Competitors qualified by competing in the Russian Cup series' junior-level events.The results of the January competition were part of the selection criteria for the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics and the 2016 World Junior Championships.
